Masonry in Bellmore, NY
The homeowner's original concrete stoop had settled nearly 3 inches, creating a visible gap between the stoop and the front door threshold. The steps were cracked and uneven, posing a safety risk for the family. The railing posts were loose in their concrete bases and the entire structure looked weathered and neglected.
We demolished the failing stoop down to the footer, excavated deeper to install a proper reinforced concrete footing, and rebuilt the entire structure from the ground up. New masonry steps were constructed with a natural stone veneer, matching the home's existing stone facade. New aluminum railings were anchored into the masonry for code-compliant safety. The landing was pitched away from the door for proper water runoff.
The rebuilt stoop completely renewed the home's entrance. The natural stone veneer matched the home beautifully, the level landing eliminated the door gap, and the new railings provided safe, solid handholds. The homeowner said it felt like a brand-new house from the curb.
