The Challenge

The homeowners had a large backyard with an in-ground pool but no hardscape, just grass surrounding the pool that turned to mud every time it rained. They wanted a complete outdoor living space with a patio for dining, an outdoor kitchen for entertaining, and proper hardscape around the entire pool area.

Our Solution

We designed a comprehensive outdoor living space starting with a 900+ sq ft paver patio wrapping the pool on three sides. An outdoor kitchen island was built with a built-in grill, counter space, and a bar-height seating area using matching Cambridge pavers. A separate dining patio was connected via a paver walkway. The entire project included channel drains around the pool perimeter and landscape lighting for evening use.

The Result

The project turned an underused backyard into the family's primary entertainment space. The outdoor kitchen became the centerpiece of summer gatherings, the pool patio eliminated the mud problem entirely, and the landscape lighting extended usability well into the evening. The homeowners reported hosting more than they ever had before.
