The homeowner's existing asphalt driveway was over 20 years old with extensive cracking, potholes, and crumbling edges. We performed a full driveway removal down to the subgrade, then installed a properly compacted crushed concrete base per NYS specifications. Belgian block borders were set in concrete along both sides and the apron for a clean, finished edge. The new asphalt was laid in two lifts with proper compaction at each stage, and the entire driveway was graded to pitch water toward the street.
