That surface needs to be slip-resistant when wet, cool underfoot on hot days, and durable enough to handle constant water, chlorine, and UV exposure. Material selection is critical for pool areas. Travertine pavers are one of our most popular choices because they naturally stay cool underfoot and offer a non-slip tumbled surface. Bluestone delivers a classic, elegant look with excellent durability. Interlocking concrete pavers from Belgard and Cambridge come in textures with built-in slip resistance, and porcelain pavers are virtually impervious to water absorption and staining. We also select and install coping stones along the pool edge to complement the patio and provide a finished, safe lip.

Proper drainage is essential around any pool. We engineer the patio grade to direct splash water and rainwater away from both the pool and your home foundation, installing channel drains, slot drains, or catch basins where needed. Every pool patio is built on a compacted aggregate base with sufficient depth to prevent frost heaving, and pavers are locked in place with polymeric sand rated for high-moisture environments.
