Planter walls are ideal for introducing greenery into hardscaped areas without taking up ground-level space. We build planter walls using Cambridge and Nicolock interlocking wall systems in a range of colors and textures, as well as natural fieldstone and regional stone for a timeless aesthetic. Bluestone, limestone, and granite caps provide a refined top edge. Construction follows full structural standards: compacted aggregate footing, proper course setback, drainage aggregate behind and beneath the planting area, and perforated drain pipe where appropriate. The interior planting cavity is lined with landscape fabric to keep soil contained while allowing water to pass through. We also apply waterproofing membranes to the interior wall face where it contacts soil, protecting the masonry from moisture damage through Long Island's freeze-thaw cycles.
